CHART OF HUMAN RIGHTS

 

Kaloo, French retailer company localised in Hong Kong, is specialized in design, conception and manufacturing of entire universes for babies. With their French management, our factories are localized in Shenzhen, Guandong (two hours from Hong Kong) and hire 850 employees.

We have, within Kaloo, a human resources policy respectful of each, and a Chart of Human Rights. Our corporate culture lays on a double commitment: accomplishing our mission to build a dynamic company, and being responsible toward our employees.

Our Charter of Human Rights wants to reflect this commitment:


Non discrimination

- Our employees are hired on the unique basis of their skills, competence and abilities to do the work they are hired for, and not on any personal characteristics or beliefs.

- Recruitments, promotions, formations, layoffs or retirements conditions of our employees are subject to no distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status.

- Kaloo respects the right of its employees to observe dogma or practices, and leave the right to them to answer demands linked to their race, sex, religion, sexual orientation, political or other opinion, national or social origin.

- No one shall be subjected to any behaviour, included gestures, language and physical contacts, that would imply sexual obligations, threats or abuses in the company.


Right to be respected

- We respect our employees’ right to participate in meetings and create associations, chosen with their own criteria.

- Within our company, we can count four employees’ representatives, listened to regularly by the head management of the company.

- All our employees are considered with the respect and dignity they owe. None is subjected to harassment or abuses.

- The company neither accepts nor practices the forced work.

- We do not employ any person under the age of 18.

- Kaloo is very conscious of specific risks within its field, hence give a safe and sane working environment to its employees, and take appropriate measures to avoid any accident or physical damage that could potentially happen on the workplace.





Adequacy with local laws

- Schedules, salaries, payment of overtime, social security and social benefits meet and sometimes overpass the local regulations and laws of all the countries we work in.

- Kaloo always take care that the salaries are equivalent at least as the legal social minima, and that they insure to employees and their families a worthy existence, conform to human dignity.

- We respect the national legislations and other laws applied in all the countries the company is engaged.



Kaloo also respects the principles stipulated in the following international regulations:

United Nations Conventions on the Rights of the Child
United Nations Conventions on Discriminations against Women
